FJSPED Executive Board

FJSPED is governed by a Governing Board and Executive Board.  The boards shall have those powers and duties assigned to them in the Articles of Joint Agreement.  

The Governing Board is composed of 22 School Board members, one from each member district. The Executive Board is made up of the Superintendents of the 22 member districts.

FJSPED Executive Board Functions

The Executive Board responsibilities and authority is described in the Articles of Joint Agreement.  In order to serve on the Executive Board and individual must be a Superintendent of a Member District.

FJSPED Governing Board Functions

The Governing Board is composed of one Board of Education member selected by the respective Boards of Education and the Superintendent from each member district.  The board meets twice per year, in March and September. 

The Governing Board is authorized to delegate to the Executive Board authority to manage particular operations of the Joint Agreement program and to seek the advice of the Executive Board on matters pertaining to employment and budget.
